Prisoner of Zenda: Question & Answer - Moral Value

Based on one of the novels you have read, write about the message of loyalty.

In the novel ‘The Prisoner of Zenda’, the message of loyalty is shown through the characters of Colonel Sapt and Rudolf Rassendyll. Colonel Sapt was the adviser to the King. When King Rudolf V was drugged, he asked Rudolf Rassendyll to impersonate the King,, in order to save the throne from Duke Michael. All the while, he stood beside Rudolf Raassendyll, guiding him on the role of a king. He later helped Rudolf Rassendyll by leading a group to rescue the King from the Old Castle. Besides, loyalty is also portrayed through Rudolf Rassendyll’s character, as he did not hesitate to impersonate the King and had risked his life to save the King. He also sacrificed his love for Princess Flavia for the sake of the country and his loyalty to the King. The message of loyalty is indeed clearly portrayed by these two characters.
