My prediction for Section D: SPM 1119/2

Remember... this is just a prediction.

Poem:

It will either be "There's been a death in the opposite house" or "Sonnet 18".

Some believe that "There's been a death in the opposite house" will not come out in the exam because of the negative connotation that it carries... but who knows...

It has been quite some time since "Sonnet 18" pop out in the exam... If you refer to the table below... you can see that since 2004 it has never come out... maybe this year is its year..

Though so... "Si Tenggang Homecoming" and "Monsoon History" should be put into consideration as they are long... Many questions could come out from it... Furthermore, based on the table below.. you could see that "Si Tenggang Homecoming" pop out in 2005 and 2007 with a laps of a year.

Short Story:

This year could be "The Necklace" year.. It has not come out in the exam for several years... But with the lapses of three years "Looking for the Rain God" could pop out too. So, do revise both..

Novel:

It is a trend that the question will be of 2 questions in 1 go

Example:

1. Describe what happens at the end of the novel.
2. Explain why do you find the ending either
happy or sad
(SPM 2008)

The first question asked you to describe an incident/ event at the end of the novel and then you have to explain why is it happy or sad to you based on the text. (Plot)

This year... theme is my choice. If it do follow the unwritten rules.. as you can see in the table below... after "event" is asked.. theme will follow suit. But.. a question that incorporate both theme and character could be possible too..

Good luck....
